My family holiday in the Cairngorms every year and we decided that we would like to ski just after Christmas so started looking for hire equipment near to the slopes. By coincidence Alpine Ski Hire were advertising that evening at our holiday resort so we decided to go with them as John promised a door to door delivery and fitting service. The only problem that I could see was that I wanted the equipment for the 27^th December meaning I would need it on Boxing Day. John and his team said ‘No Problem’ and at 6pm he was there with brand new, out of the box ski kit which he took time to fit and adjust for us. This company have really got it right as I have heard horror stories from friends who have skied the Cairngorms in previous years and after a lengthy queue and messing about with old equipment they got on the slope at midday. This way I was kitted out and skiing by 0930 and once I had finished with the kit I made a quick phone call and John said that he could meet me either in the car park or back at my lodge. Overall a very good service and though he is slightly more expensive than some of the hire companies, the service door to door, quality of the equipment and flexibility of the staff outweigh the small price difference. The service was brilliant and the equipment was of a high standard. I will certainly use this service again when i next visit as it saves time which means more skiing! The queue for skis etc when i was there was about 30 minutes, and that was in early Feb when the mountain was quiet! I was impressed with the rates and equipment offered by Alpine Ski Hire and the prospect of having the equipment delivered to us the night before and collected at the end of our trip seemed ideal. Every detail of the booking and rental was perfect; the booking was quickly made with John over the phone and on arrival at our accommodation a quick call was all that was needed to confirm a drop off time of our convenience. The equipment was excellent, very new and of a high specification; fitting and adjustments were carefully made and we were on our way - no fuss and no queues….brilliant! On our last day once we had returned to our car, a quick call and John was waiting for us at our accommodation, by the time we had driven down, to collect the equipment. After comparing prices from all the local areas surronding aveimore, alpine ski hire were the most affordable whilst providing the best services. The delivery service was prompt and flexible and we even had a pair of boots changed and bindings altered the morning before our ski - awesome service! Sitting in your chalet and all your eqipment arriving without the long queues waiting in the cold.. what more woud you want, meant once we got there we could hit the ground running, well in this case skiing. The equipment was of a high quality and it really made our weekend. 1st class all round and will definately go through this company again if we need another break! stewart mccaffrey.
